Project Manager - Hertford Castle Grounds Transformation

£45,202 to £49,250 (depending on experience). 

Full time, Fixed Term for 1 year (with possibility of extension). 

Based in Hertford  

An opportunity for an experienced Project Manager has become available to take a leading role on the exciting and rewarding Castle Grounds Transformation project in Hertford. This is an exciting time for you to join us and develop your career.

This lottery funded project will involve refurbishment of a building, construction of a bridge, protection of heritage, wildlife enhancements, development of play facilities and community projects. 

The Project team consists of Officers from East Herts Council and Hertford Town Council working with Hertfordshire County Council’s Countryside Management Service. 

We are looking for an individual committed to excellence in their work and with a passion for the development of public spaces. If successful, you will assist across all aspects of driving a multi-disciplined team of consultants for the service with a flair for efficient project planning.

This is an initial 1-year fixed term contract with possibility of extension for a further 3 years, subject to lottery funding being approved.

Community Engagement Officer - Hertford Castle Grounds Transformation


£25,000 – 30,000 pa dependent on experience

Full Time, Fixed Term for 9 months (with possibility of extension). 

Based in Hertford

This lottery funded project will involve refurbishment of a building, construction of a bridge, protection of heritage, wildlife enhancements, development of play facilities and community projects. 

The Project team consists of Officers from East Herts Council and Hertford Town Council working with Hertfordshire County Council’s Countryside Management Service. 

This role will be at the centre of the project with the post holder working to engage the community during the development phase of the NLHF project as part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team.
