Advice

WasteAware
WasteAware is a partnership of all 10 district and borough councils and the county council. District councils are responsible for bin collections and bulky waste collections. Hertfordshire County Council runs the recycling centres. Together they are supporting residents to reduce, reuse and recycle.
To find out more about WasteAware, their services, and campaigns, visit the WasteAware website.
Local and central Government grants, schemes and advice are available to reduce the cost and environmental impact of home and business energy consumption.
Everybody can benefit - businesses, homeowners, residential landlords, private and social housing tenants and those on low incomes. The main emphasis is to reduce energy wastage by improving the fabric of your home or business premises.
For further information, useful tips, and practical advice for action you can take straight away to live more sustainably, read the Hertfordshire Climate Change Sustainability Partnership's guide.
