Two by-elections took place on Thursday 10^th July 2025 in the Sele Ward. 

After votes were counted and verified by East Herts District Council, the following candidates were elected to Hertford Town Council:

Sarah Aldridge                            The Green Party

Drew Waller-Downes                   The Green Party

The Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Steven Watson, commented: 

“On behalf of Hertford Town Council, I would like to welcome the new Councillors. 

The Council is grateful to all candidates who put themselves forward to serve the people of Hertford and we extend our congratulations to those who have been chosen by the residents of Sele, to represent them on the Council.
