Hertford Castle Open Day
Join us on this special Open Day on 31st October 2021. Hertford Castle will be open for you to explore the Castle rooms including the Mayor's Parlour, Robing room and the themed basement. This free event will give you an insight into this historic Grade 1 listed building, with volunteers on hand to impart historical knowledge.
Entry is FREE, you are however welcome to donate to the Mayor of Hertford’s Charity Appeal Fund.
Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Capacity limits are in place in the building to keep visitors and staff safe. Once capacity is reached, entry will be on a one-out, one-in basis.
All guests must follow the one-way system through the building (volunteers will be on hand to help direct guests). Please do not loiter or congregate, and continue to move through the Castle.
Visitors are asked to wear masks due to the enclosed nature of the Castle.
Please be mindful of other visitors and keep a social distance.
The building is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or anyone with restricted mobility due to stairs.
Do not wait on the stairs.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Dogs are not allowed (except assistance dogs).
Please do not attend if you are displaying any covid symptoms.
Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions.
