Hertford Castle Guided Tours

Join us on Sunday 30th October, 12-4pm for our last Castle Open Day of the season with guided tours.

Hertford Castle will be open for you to explore the Castle rooms, including the Mayor's Parlour, Robing room and the themed basement. This FREE event will give you an insight into this historic Grade 1 listed building, with volunteers on hand to impart their historical knowledge.

Tours every 30 mins from 12pm. Last tour at 3.30pm. Sign up on the day for your allocated time slot at the conservatory.

Entry will be on a first come-first served basis.

Refreshments will be available to purchase from local charity Future Hope on the main lawn and we're excited to have the Richard Hale band join us to 2.15pm to play.

Unfortunately, the building is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams or anyone with restricted mobility due to stairs.

Entry is FREE, you are however welcome to donate to the Mayor of Hertford’s Charity Appeal Fund. 

Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive early to sign up for an allocated time slot to avoid disappointment.

The building is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or anyone with restricted mobility due to stairs.

Do not wait on the stairs.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Dogs are not allowed (except assistance dogs).
