Hertford Eco Fest is a new event to raise awareness amongst as many people as possible of the small changes we can all make to reduce our carbon footprint and save money.

It will be held at Hertford Castle on Sunday 22nd September, as part of a two-week programme of Hertford town wide sustainability events.

On the 22nd at the Castle, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of fun activities including:

  • Story time with Hertford Library
  • Garden games
  • Junk modelling
  • Kayaking
  • Live music and fashion shows
  • Food and drink and craft stalls

Visitors are invited to visit Highway Cycles on the Island Lawn, where they will have an electric bike display as well as onsite bike repair*, and the Repair Stall on the Main Lawn, who will be offering repair diagnosis on anything other than white goods e.g. washing machines, microwaves or laptops and other computing devices.*

*Please note that any repairs will be done on a first come first served basis and only a limited number of items will be able to be fixed on the day.

We are pleased to announce that City to Sea will be attending Eco Fest. Please visit their stall on the main lawn to find out more about the Refill campaign and what Hertford Town Council and Ware Town Council are doing together to reduce plastic in our town.
