Children's Royal Trail

Children's Royal Trail
Children and families can join in the celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by taking part in our FREE town centre Royal Trail, which will run from Saturday 21st May to Wednesday 1st June.
Royal-themed knitted characters, created by the Secret Society of Hertford Crafters (SSOHC), will be hidden in participating venues around the town centre for children to find. Match a minimum of fifteen for a chance to win a prize!
To take part in the trail, pick up your map from Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre, in The Wash, opposite Hertford Theatre. Once completed, trail forms should be returned to the Town and Tourist Information Centre and posted through the provided letter box.
After the trail, the characters will be joining us at Hertford Castle as part of our Jubilee celebrations on Thursday 2nd June. After which, they could be yours to take home! Bid on your favourite at the SSOHC charity auction.

Hertford Town Council declared a Climate Emergency in July 2023 and has committed to taking action to protect human health and our natural world to the maximum extent its powers allow. We therefore encourage people to visit the Castle and attend our events by public or active transport. The two Hertford railway stations, Hertford North and Hertford East, are a short walk from the Castle, and bus services are available to the Wash and Hertford bus station. Please visit National Rail for live train times and Intalink for bus routes.
