Two Minute Silence for His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh

To mark the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on 9th April 2021, there will be a two minute silence at Hertford Castle at 11:00am on Saturday 17th April.

The Castle grounds car park and adjoining land will not be open on Saturday until 11.15am. There will be no public access to the entire Castle grounds between 10.45am -11.15am.

The Council respectfully asks the public not to gather at the Castle grounds during these times.

The public may wish to observe their own silence or follow the national silence being held at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
