Steven Isserlis heads the first ever orchestral concert at the Hertfordshire Festival of Music, performing Haydn's celebrated Cello Concerto in C Major, with the extraordinary Orchestra of the Swan.
It is the perfect way to celebrate Haydn's 1791 residency in Hertfordshire. This delightful programme includes Stravinsky's enchanting balley music Apollon musagete and the late John McCabe's evocative, minature tone poem Red Leaves - a reflection on the magical colours of autumnal New England.
Conducted by one of HFoM's Artisitc Directors, Tom Hammond, this concert is not to be missed.
