The Mayor's Charity Walk

The Mayor's Charity Walk

The Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Bob Deering, is undertaking a sponsored walk on Saturday 9th April 2022 to help raise money for his chosen charities, the Samaritans and Isabel Hospice, to assist them in carrying out the vital work they do within our community.

The 6.5mile walk will commence from Hertford Castle at 11am, continuing to Hertford Football Club, Hertford Hockey and Cricket Club at Balls Park, Isabel Hospice Shop in Maidenhead Street, then onto the Samaritans Ware Branch in Star Street and Hertford Netball Club at Presdales, Ware. The walk will finish at the Hertford Rugby Club.

Councillor Deering said: “I will once again this year be doing a sponsored walk to raise funds for my two Mayor’s charities, the Samaritans and Isabel Hospice. As before, we will visit the Isabel Hospice shop in Hertford and the Samaritans office in Ware and this year our route will take in a number of our leading sports clubs not least to recognise the good work they also do for the community. These are two very deserving charities and I will be very grateful if anyone wishing to make a donation would do so via the JustGiving link."
