If you go out to the Castle today, you're sure of a big surprise...
The annual Teddy Bears' Picnic is happening again in the grounds of Hertford Castle. Bring your teddy and your picnic, and join in with the family games in the arena. Family tug of war, Teddy Bear relay race and the Teddy Bear parade are only a few of the games that will be taking place throughout the afternoon.
The Mayor of Hertford will be judging the Best Dressed Teddy Competition after the parade, so be sure to give Teddy a spruce up beforehand.
Other activities include SandArt, games, bouncy castle, football fun, art activities, face painting and much much more.
The Welwyn Garden city brass band will be playing on the main lawn, whilst the Punch & Judy will be on the island. Hertford Canoe Club will also be running free taster sessions on the River Lea again this year.
Refreshements will also be available on the lawn.
The Castle will be open as well for visitors to explore and participate in the Teddy Bear Hunt.
