Having decided on a civil marriage you need to contact the Superintendent Registrar at County Hall Hertford on 01992 555590. The fee for a civil marriage ceremony is payable directly to the Registrars. The details of the ceremony itself are planned with the Registrars and each couple can include music, readings and poetry.

Once you have agreed a date it is time to choose a venue. What better choice could you make than the romantic setting of Hertford Castle for the ceremony itself and the reception.
