Hertford Urgent Care Centre

A "walk in" service which is open: 8.00am until 8.00pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You do not need to book an appointment, you can just turn up and you will be seen promptly by either a nurse or a doctor. It has been designed to treat patients who have a minor injury or condition which is severe but not immediately critical or life threatening. This includes accidental injuries and minor medial emergencies, diagnostics and treatment for wound stitching, sprains and minor fractures. Treatments offered at the UCC include: sprains and strains, infected wounds, broken bones, minor burns and scalds, removing splinters, bites and stings. Patients who require more specialised care will be assessed at the UCC and transferred to a specialised A&E department.
