Allotments

The Town Council rents out allotments at sites in Bengeo, Cromwell Road, Folly Island, Hertingfordbury, North Road and Sele Road.

To improve communications between the Council and plot holders the Council is encouraging “self-help” groups to set up on all allotment sites. Please contact us if you are interested in forming or joining an allotment group.

Plots cost only £13.50 (January 2009) a year for a 5-pole site, which is big enough to grow fresh vegetables and fruit to feed a family.

Due to high demand for allotment plots, the waiting lists for Bengeo and Folly have been closed until further notice.
